Lindsay Lohan opened up about her self-titled reality TV series produced by Oprah Winfrey and offered a tidbit on a possible ‘Mean Girls’ reunion and even took part in the ‘water war’ card game with host Jimmy Fallon on ‘The Tonight Show.’
The 27-year-old Lindsay Lohan spoke up about the reality TV docu-series ‘Lindsay’ which will premiere on OWN. It has been in production for the past several months chronicling her life after the court-ordered stint in rehab last year. In front of cameras, the ‘Mean Girls’ actress has been attempting to rebuild her life. After so many years of legal troubles, rehab stints and other travails if anything it’s surprising that she has not become yet another subject of reality television sooner.
She responded to the reaction that some of the preview clips have garnered — which show her uncooperative with Oprah Winfrey and her film crew — including one in which a clearly exasperated Oprah tells her to “cut the bulls—.”
She said, “It is a television show so they want ratings. They picked the first two months after I got back to New York after I had been in treatment.”
She went on to detail how circumstances have changed for her since those early days of filming. “I became really spiritual over this past year and I have been trying to find peace and serenity in my life So of course they take the chaos of me moving after eight years of living in L.A. back to the city of New York. So it’s like ‘Oprah reprimands Lindsay!’”
Reflecting upon her troubles over the years, she said, “That is the past, I feel really lucky to be able to work with someone like Oprah and create. I have a really strong bond with her where I can call her for advice and she has become someone I can learn from in life.”
And, making headlines she did tease the possibility of a ‘Mean Girls’ reunion. It has been ten years since the movie opened in theaters with Lindsay Lohan alongside her costars Tina Fey, Rachel McAdams, Lizzy Caplan, Lacey Chabert and Amanda Seyfried. Years later, remains a classic as well as the movie that we all look back to when we think of Lindsay Lohan the promising actress whose career, sadly, has been sidelined by her personal struggles which have played out publicly for so many years.
It’s not much to go on, but Lindsay Lohan did say, “When I was backstage I saw Tina and she mentioned maybe doing some type of reunion. “She said she was talking to [executive producer] Lorne [Michaels] about it, so she’s talking to the big boss.”
Later, taking part in Jimmy Fallon’s latest viral video in the making she played the “water war” card game with him, with entertaining results as she was armed with a water gun!
