Easy to understand why Kate Upton was all smiles at LAX Friday (August 30) -- she was just named “Model of the Year.” She’ll receive the award at the 10th annual Style Awards next week in New York City.
The awards will be held at Lincoln Center, a day before Fashion Week, and then aired on CNN on September 14. The event caps a year that’s also seen the 21-year-old again grace the cover of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, appear on the front page of Vogue, and join the ranks of Gisele and Kate Moss as a David Yurman model.
The Michigan native will also appear on-screen in “The Other Woman,” along with Cameron Diaz later this year.
Oh, and let’s not forget about her other big moment, this past Wednesday (August 28). The beauty Tweeted a photo of herself receiving a golf lesson from one of the greatest professional golfers of all time: Arnold Palmer!
