Justin Bieber’s ‘PYD’ Duet with R. Kelly Debuts (Audio)

‘PYD’ is Justin Bieber long-awaited collaboration with R&B icon R. Kelly. The sensual, sexy duet was released at midnight to iTunes and the Twitterverse gave a roar of approval. Listen to the brand new song, the slowest of slow jams.

‘PYD’ stands for ‘Put You Down’ and it’s the seventh song in the 19-year-old teen pop music sensation’s Music Mondays series. It’s also his first collaboration in the series, for which he’s picked quite an industry titan.

After weeks of pouring out his heart in the aftermath of a breakup with previous songs in the Music Mondays series — “Heartbreaker,” “All That Matters,” “Hold Tight,” and “Recovery,” “Bad Day,” and “All Bad” — Justin Bieber steps into another realm, a sensual ‘quiet storm’ style R&B love jam. Baby-making music, as some might call it. With R. Kelly on the track, we would not expect anything less.

The lyrics have but a sole subject of lovemaking anytime and anywhere as both singers are heard, first Justin Bieber, later R. Kelly: “…Up the stairs to my bedroom / light a few candles brace yourself / I’mma put you down…” The locales may change — kitchen counter tops, planes, trains, automobiles, balconies, parking lots, etc. — but the act remains is the same.

Justin Bieber in what seems to be an obvious reference to his constant tabloid attention, Tweeted, “all ive ever wanted was for it to be about the music. #PYD with @rkelly is out now.”

He got some supportive words from famed house DJ Zedd, who Tweeted “all these new justin bieber tunes are so dope!!!” Later, he added: “since there’s so many people talking sh*t about music they haven’t even listened to I’ll just say it 3 more times in a row….I LIKE THE NEW JUSTIN BIEBER SONG.” Zedd produced ‘Beauty and the Beat,’ the Nicki Minaj collaboration which appears on Justin Bieber’s ‘Believe’ album.

As for R. Kelly, he re-posted the single cover art on Instagram here, saying: “My track with @justinbieber drops at midnight tonight. Excited about this one, its gonna be another classic.” He also made mention of his own upcoming album, ‘Black Panties,’ which is due out on December 10th. He’s also drawn notice for his equally suggestive duet with Lady Gaga, ‘Do What U Want’ of which the two of them gave a live performance on SNL which left nothing to the imagination.

Justin Bieber’s three remaining Music Mondays songs take fans right into December, and soon afterwards, the documentary film, ‘Believe 3D’ which opens in theaters on Christmas Day. It chronicles the world tour of the same name from which so much tabloid attention has arisen, even as the teen idol ventures to another continent, Australia.

But as for the music, which he prefers we focus on, the full audio of ‘PYD’ is below!
