JESSICA SIMPSON & ERIC JOHNSON They’ve Got A Wedding Date!

More celebrity wedding news! This wedding has been a long time in the making. After an engagement and then two pregnancies close together, Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are ready to make it official and tie the knot. So when are they going to have their big day? A source told Us Weekly the Simpson-Johnson wedding would occur over the 4th of July weekend this summer. Jessica and Eric were considering getting married in Capri, Italy, but ultimately decided it would be too much to ask guests to travel abroad for their nuptials. A considerate bride and groom: imagine that!

Sometimes I think couples forget that while you’re thrilled for them, it’s a bit much when you have to sacrifice several days (and likely a thousand or two for travel and lodging) just to celebrate their big day with them. Jessica reportedly is planning to wear a unique wedding gown, too, that won’t be white. The source dished:

Jessica is having something unique made. It will be very different from the Vera Wang she wore to wed Nick Lachey [in 2002].”

I can understand Jessica wanting to wear something different for wedding #2! Can’t WAIT to see it: I’m sure the dress will be gorgeous.
