For 31 years, the world was at war and no one was spared from the carnage. History Channel’s WORLD WARS is the story of one generation, who came of age during the First World War, and would lead their nations in the Second.
The series shows how the years between the wars only continued the violence and play for power by those who fought the First World War. What makes this series unique is that it is not simply an anthology of the two World Wars – it is a character-based drama that explores the nature of the men pulling the strings. The war as told through the perspectives of our main characters – Hitler, Churchill, Roosevelt, Stalin, Patton, de Gaulle and more. We see how their personal life experiences shaped their worldview, and influenced their decisions at a time when they affected millions of lives.
Narrated by Oscar® Nominee Jeremy Renner (THE HURT LOCKER, THE TOWN), WORLD WARS tells the story of three devastating decades of war through the eyes of the powerful men who held the fate of humankind in their hands; men like Roosevelt, Hitler, Patton, Mussolini, Churchill, Tojo, DeGaulle and MacArthur.
