Dakota Johnson opened up about ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ sex scenes and more in an interview for a cover story for ELLE magazine and is seen in a steamy photo shoot befitting Anastasia Steel.
The much anticipated big screen adaptation of EL James’ ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ novel does not open in theaters until Valentine’s Day 2015 and much in keeping with the erotic novel itself, fans are getting the long, slow tease. ELLE magazine, has supplied this latest tease putting the costar, Dakota Johnson on the cover, and inside the magazine in a smoldering hot photo shoot that would make Christian Grey proud….so long as he were completely in charge, of course.
As filming on location in Vancouver is well underway, it seems more than time for an update from the 24-year-old Dakota Johnson whom ELLE points out is a third-generation actress, daughter of Melanie Griffith and granddaughter of Tippe Hedrin whom we will forever remember being terrorized in Alfred Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds”). Her father is Don Johnson of the iconic 1980s ‘Miami Vice.’
Dakota Johnson was naturally asked what it’s like to do those sex scenes, and more ihow does she have the nerve or the courage to not just take off her clothes but to become the Anatasia Steele of the novel. She told Elle, “I don’t have any problem doing anything. The secret is I have no shame.”
She also shared her thoughts on the novel, telling ELLE about what she found of most interest. She said, “Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes. I think there’s a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down.”
She was equally outspoken on the pitfalls of growing up as the offspring of famous parents, saying, “I think people, especially the press, like to pick on children of famous people and I think that’s f–king awful. Things get made up. It’s so, so sad. And there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it as a 16-year-old. You’re like….Why? What did I do?”
It should be just a matter of months now that Dakota Johnson becomes fully known as herself, as she is seen in a major role in a movie that will be closely watched by many, whether they will admit it or not. After all, let’s face it, critics, amateur and professional alike will have their say as well the enormous fan base around the world who eagerly wait to see Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele make that leap from the printed page to the silver screen.
