Tackling the oft-covered topic of massive disappearance, “The Leftovers” looks to be the next big hit for HBO.
Starring Justin Theroux, Liv Tyler, Christopher Eccleston, Amy Brenneman and Michael Gaston, the forthcoming series was created by “Lost” honcho Damon Lindelof.
Per the synopsis, “The story revolves around the Rapture and follows a group of people who are left behind in the suburban community of Mapleton. They must begin to rebuild their lives after the sudden and mysterious disappearance of more than 2 percent of the world’s population.”
“The Leftovers is slated to debut on June 15th at 10:00 pm on HBO. Check the trailer below!
