Padfone 2 shows up in white prior to December launch

Android Central

The Padfone 2 is preparing for a launch in December, but until then, ASUS has begun showing off a white model of the smartphone/tablet combo. To date we've only seen the black version, which, classy as it may be, isn't for everybody.

What's under that pretty paint job? A quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB of RAM, 13 megapixel camera, and a 4.7-inch 720p display, that's what. NFC and LTE connectivity are both a part of a the package, with 32 GB and 64 GB variants to be available. The tablet companion device has a little nook where your phone can plug in for extra juice and project an adapted reflection from the phone onto the large 10-inch display.

The only downside here is that the UK isn't due to get the Padfone 2 until 2013, and we haven't heard a peep about a North American launch. Boourns. Even if it were available, would you guys consider picking up the phone? How about the tablet? I dig the idea, but I'm worried about compatibility issues for apps that run on the phone but are displayed on the tablet.
