Natalia Safran has released the music video for ‘All I Feel Is You,’ the theme song for ‘The Hours’ as a tribute to the late Paul Walker. The movie, a suspense thriller set in the days of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans was one of his final movies.
The Polish actress and singer Natalia Safran was one of the costars in the movie, which was written and directed by Eric Heisserer and had its debut at SXSW. It is an independent film which opened in theaters in limited release, as was previously scheduled on December 13th, just a couple of weeks after the tragic and untimely death of ‘Fast & Furious’ star Paul Walker in a fiery car crash.
Paul Walker portrayed a father in a New Orleans hospital who desperately strives to keep his newborn infant daughter alive — she is dependent on a ventilator — after the power goes out and the flooding begins. He is already deeply grieved as his wife died in childbirth. As such, he was the dominant character and protagonist in the gripping movie which has oped to critical acclaim.
In the aftermath of Paul Walker’s death, Natalia Safran’s music video was transformed into a tribute. It reveals many of the scenes from ‘The Hours’ as she sings the haunting lyrics of the song.
The Poznań, Poland born Safran is an emerging music artist whose new album will be released in the U.S. in 2014. The theme song and her music video would have otherwise been a triumphant moment. But instead, as she herself Tweeted: “w broken heart I give you the video to official track of Hours with Paul Walker. now it’s a farewell to a dear friend.”
The YouTube page offers a few more details: “The song and the video were an ode to lost love and an unbreakable connection. Now they must be a farewell. A farewell to an incredible man and a dear friend. We wanted to honor his memory and his inspiring life and hope this video does it in some small way.”
The proceeds of the song’s sales go to benefit Paul Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), which helps to fund first responders in disaster zones around the world. In fact, just hours before his death, he was attending an event benefiting that very charity.
