Cameron Diaz revealed that she has been with a woman. The sudden confession on Andy Cohen’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ on Bravo has gone viral as it has sparked much curiosity as naturally it would. The usual who, when, and where kinds of questions!
The 41-year-old actress who stars in ‘The Other Woman’ is just the latest to have had a confessional moment on WWHL in the ‘Plead the Fifth’ game.
She had already given herself the perfect setup for such, as she has teased at and hinted at bisexuality in a recent interview with Glamour UK in which she said, ‘I think women are beautiful, absolutely beautiful,’ she told the magazine. ‘And I think that all women have been sexually attracted to another woman at some point.’
The author of ‘The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength,’ she is no stranger to candor. Between promoting her book, which delves into body image topics, and the movie, which as evidenced by its title is not for the shy and retiring, she has had a no-holds barred approach.
She was sitting alongside a costar of that movie, Leslie Mann, as Andy Cohen asked her “Have you yourself ever swam in the lady pond? Have you ever been with a lady?”
She said, ‘Yes, I have been with a lady.’
Naturally, Cohen pressed for more details and wanted to know if she’d been with a lady “more than once.” Why not make a breaking news story even spicier, after all?!
But Diaz demurred and merely said, “You didn’t ask explicitly how I was with a lady, but I have been with a lady.”
In contrast, the other questions she answered seemed quite pedestrian. Of course she was asked about her ex-boyfriend New York Yankees’ star Alex Rodriguez and of baseball players what was the “worst thing,” to which she said, “‘I think schedule and schedule.”
But the celebrity watchers are way past A-Rod. After all, Cameron Diaz has sparked a rampant guessing game. We can expect to see names and more names floated about.
